RARE Antique Art Deco NUART NYC Metal Terrier Dog CIGARETTE TRINKET STAMP BOX The era of the 1920s shone as a time of hope, prosperity, and flourishing artistic innovation. Known as the Roaring Twenties , the carefree days of the 1920s were financed by an incredible economic boom. The emerging modernist visual style, termed Art Deco , eventually pervaded everyday style and popular decorative arts. One of the most famous American makers of beautiful utilitarian designs is Nuart based out of New York City. Nuart produced their items in white metal and offered their creations in four finishes: Tiffany Green, Bronze, Ebony, and Oriental Red. Antique Art Deco NUART NYC Terrier Dog Cigarette / Trinket / or Stamp Box Beautiful piece here ~ One of the older ones from Nuart Portrays adorable dog sitting upon suitcase, perhaps in an effort to keep his Master at home White metal finished in a matte bronze color Measures approx. 3 5/8" long, 2 7/8" wide, and 3 3/4" tall including dog, 2" tall box only Weighs just under 2lbs.! The interior box bottom as well as inside lid top are marked Nuart N.Y. (see photos 10 and 11) Amazing detail on the textured suitcase/trunk ~ Great collectors piece presents well Very Good condition as shown - bronze finish has only minor wear - underneath had green felt removed but green color remains in spots (see last photo) Please Email any questions & read my feedback - Buyers have been pleased with my auctions!
